*The spanish thought that the the aztecs beliefs and rituals, especially human sacrifices were cannibalism, also misguided, barbic and led by the devil.

*They thought they were evil and primitive

*They thought their actions were led from the devil

 

Conquering The Aztecs

 

Cortes had once heard about the aztecs, he also knew that montezuma was their leader and there was the primary force in mexico. But he encountered a tribe that was enemies with the Aztecs. They were called the Tlaxcalans.They had become an important ally for Cortes. Unknown to is arrival, Cortes was thought to be an important Aztec prophecy, As quetzalcoatl. He was credited for making human beings and he was supposed to come back to earth. So montezuma welcomed them. But then cortes captured the montezuma and soon the city went in chaos. So cortes used the montezuma. Then they fought and cortes won.
